Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as
on 01.12.2014. The upper age limit is relaxation by 5 years for candidates
belonging to SC/ST and by 3 years in case of OBC candidates.

Scale of Pay : Rs. 16800 -3%- 24110/- (S3
Regular Grade)

Educational Qualification at IISCO Steel Plant : 10th
Pass with Diploma in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical engineering.

Procedure for Selection : Written examination -> Interview
·
Training & Probation Period : The OCTT selected
candidates will be placed on training for a period of 2 Years. On successful
completion of training period, they shall be placed in regular grade S3. After
successful completion of Training, Candidates shall be placed under probation
for 1 year.
·
Physical Standard Required for Operator / Technician
Trainee at SAIL : For male Height-155 cms, Weight-45 kgs, Chest
Measurement-75 cms & On expansion – 79 cms and for female Height-143
cms, Weight-35 kgs, Chest Measurement-70 cms & On expansion – 73 cms.

Eye Vision (Myopia / Hypermetropia) : 6/9 Both
eyes (with or without glasses) – For Distant Vision, Power glass (if worn): not
more than +2.5 D – For Near Vision and Colour Vision - Normal
